We will be joined by Prof Melanie Giles on Wednesday 18th June for her fascinating talk on ‘Bog Bodies: the enchanting power of people from the past’

Melanie will explore the subject of prehistoric bog preserved remains, bog preserved archaeological material culture and the recent archaeological discovery of the Iron Age remains near Bellaghy - Ballymaccomb’s More Woman. Melanie is a Professor in European Prehistory at the University of Manchester, and has recently published her book ‘Bog Bodies: face to face with the Past’ in 2020.
