Biography

I've lived most of my life in Ardoyne in North Belfast... I lived in Hooker St when the trouble erupted in 1969. My home was attacked by a loyalist mob and wrecked... I moved up to live in Ballysillan and when interment happened in 1971 was intimidated, my house was wrecked again by loyalists so I was homeless for months. I eventually was rehoused back into Ardoyne... I had 5 young children then... I got involved in a local community group. I've been a voluntary community worker now for nearly 50 years doing mostly cross community work and working for peace. I now have 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
