kids in museums: takeover day
Join us on Friday 20th November to learn from the new museum masterminds - 2-year-olds!
We're excited to be participating in Kids in Museums' Takeover Day!
On Friday 20th November 2026, a group of two-year-olds from the Belfast Sure Start cohort will welcome you into Discover Nature. They will become ‘museum experts’, demonstrating to our visitors that museums are for everyone!
From observing animals through microscopes, hunting for mini-beasts within our replica tree, searching for toy animals in our sand box and touching real animals on display, they will participate in a range of fun, age-appropriate scientific activities!

Join us in Discover Nature from 10-11 am.
This event includes hands-on activities and object handling.
