Discovery Centres
The Ulster Museum interactive discovery centres, Discover Art, History and Nature offer unique and exciting learning experiences to people of all ages
Object handling in the Discovery Centres
Learn something new and handle museum objects in our free, family-friendly sessions in each of the Discovery Centres on the second Saturday and Sunday of the month!
Our next family focus sessions will take place on Saturday 12th July and Sunday 13th July.
On Saturday, 12th July, drop into Discover Art to unearth the dinosaurs, visit Discover Nature to encounter fun facts about birds, and delve into armour in Discover History.
On Saturday 13th July, dive into Aesop's Fables in Discover Art, learn all about lava in Discover Nature, and stop by Discover History to test out some 3D viewers.
Our interactive Discovery Centres are a place to explore our museum collections in a different and exciting way. These family-focused sessions are drop-in and informal, providing the opportunity to touch and investigate objects on display. Some Centres will have activity-based exploration too.
Find Discover History on Level 1, Discover Nature on Level 3 and Discover Art on Level 5 of the Ulster Museum.
